Namnyaki Maasai Girls and Women Organization (NAMGWO), was established and registered under Tanzania-NGOs registration Act and its Reg no is: - 00NGO/00008095 and the Registration date is 2015. The Organization was found by a group of educated Maasai Pastoralists People from Maasai Community with help from other education stakeholders with the Purpose of voluntary seeking to find need-based Education scholarships and economic opportunities for Pastoralists Maasai Barbaig, Wasukuma Girls and Women.

This organization ,Namnyaki Maasai Girls and Women Organization (NAMGWO) has constructed a Secondary school for Maasai and other Pastoralists girls, the school is known as Namnyaki Secondary school. The full cost of tuition, room, and board for one student is $600 per year. Our goal is to raise $24,000 each year to support 40 girls at the school. We believe this level of support provides the school with a degree of financial stability, while also encouraging sustainability and self-sufficiency. Many of the girls at the school are vulnerable young girls come from families that are unable to pay the cost of tuition, room and board. In some cases, the girls have run away from forced (illegal) marriages to older men, so they have no financial support. Because the school is tuition dependent, it often struggles to pay its teachers, buy books, food and other materials, and plan for long term upkeep of the facilities. Women empowerment Programes, there are cultural norms oppressing Maasai girls and women in Pastoralists communities, like saying the girls and women are weak people they can’t go to school , they can’t pass exams , they cannot be employed and have jobs, the girls needs to stay only at home and take care of children.

This Organization is here to speak for the voiceless communities, and maintain peace in these communities and communities around them. NAMGWO organization workers we stand to speak for the voiceless pastoralists communities educational rights for girls and women who are living in vulnerable conditions but can’t speak for themselves, so we are here to speak for their bright future by finding education scholarships for young girls and economic opportunities training for women from these communities. Their better lives is our lives, we are because we are, “Ubuntu”. Namnyaki Maasai Girls and Women is thriving in terms of providing a safe, welcoming, and educationally enriching environment for students as many as we can.
